<h1>Cabinet Committee Approves Doubling of Hotgi-Kudgi-Gadag Railway Line to Boost Industrial Growth and Train Services.</h1> The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the doubling of the Hotgi-Kudgi-Gadag railway line, covering 284 km, with an anticipated cost of Rs. 1618 crore and a completion cost of Rs. 2058 crore. This project, partially funded by NTPC under the Customer Funding Model, aims to enhance line capacity for additional trains and smooth movement of rakes to support the emerging industrial activities, including steel, power, and cement plants in the region. The route, a crucial link between Bangalore and Mumbai, will facilitate regional development and meet the demand for increased train services.
