Union Finance Minister Shri Pranab Mukherjee met here today the film industry delegation who were accompanying the Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ms. Ambika Soni as part of his pre-Budget consultations. The delegation consisted of about 20 members including Shri Yash Chopra, Shri Ramesh Sippy, Shri Mukesh Bhatt all representing Films and Producers Guild, Dr. Amit Mitra, Secretary General, FICCI, Shri L. Suresh, Vice President, Film Federation of India, Ms. Anuradha Prasad, Chairperson, AROI, Shri Rajeev Waghle, Group CFO, UTV, Shri Subhashish Sarkar, CFO, Reliance Big Films, Shri Ashish Kularni, CEO, Big Animation and Shri Puneet Goenka, CEO, Zee Tele films among others. 

The representatives of different forums of film industry gave their suggestions for consideration and inclusion in the forthcoming General Budget for 2011-12.

Pre budget consultation: film industry presented fiscal and policy proposals to inform upcoming budget decisions. Pre budget consultation: The Finance Minister received a film industry delegation led by the Minister of Information and Broadcasting presenting sectoral suggestions for the General Budget. The delegation included producers, studio executives and trade bodies and focused on fiscal and policy proposals concerning production, distribution and broadcast-related services, operating as a stakeholder engagement to inform budgetary decision-making.
