<h1>Government Enhances Industrial Clusters with MIIUS to Boost Competitiveness and Infrastructure; 24 Projects Approved.</h1> The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion launched the Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme (IIUS) in 2003 to develop industrial clusters. In 2013, this evolved into the Modified Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme (MIIUS), aimed at enhancing industry competitiveness through quality infrastructure. MIIUS supports projects in industrial estates and greenfield projects, with 24 projects receiving in-principle approval and 11 obtaining final approval. Central assistance has been provided to five projects. MIIUS also facilitates technical infrastructure development, including research centers and environmental protection facilities, to promote technology adoption in industrial units.
