The corresponding rate for the previous day (March 23, 2015) was ₹ 62.2879.

Reference Rate for US Dollar informs cross currency exchange rates and determines SDR Rupee calculation basis policy. The central bank published the US Dollar Reference Rate and, using that rate with cross currency middle rates, supplied Rupee exchange rates for Euro, Pound Sterling and Yen; the announcement states the SDR Rupee rate will be based on that Reference Rate.
