Shri Subash Chandra Garg, IAS (RJ:83), OSD (Additional Secretary level), Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India has been relieved of his duties from the Department with effect from today afternoon in order to take-up his new assignment as Executive Director, World Bank, Washington D.C. USA.

Appointment to international organization: officer relieved from domestic duties to assume Executive Director role at the World Bank. An administrative relief from domestic departmental duties was effected to permit a senior civil servant at Additional Secretary level in the Department of Economic Affairs to assume the international appointment of Executive Director at the World Bank in Washington, D.C., transferring his functional responsibilities and enabling the foreign assignment.
