Two project proposals were received from the Government of Madhya Pradesh for financial assistance for setting up of new industrial development hubs and upgradation of facilities in the existing hubs.

One project at Industrial Area, Sitapur, District Morena has been accorded ‘in-principle’ approval. Another project proposal submitted by M. P. Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam (Indore) Ltd. (AKVN) for development of new industrial cluster at Industrial Area, Ujjaini, District Dhar has been revised and the same is under consideration for ‘in-principle’ approval in the Department. No such proposal has been received from the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

The information was given by the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.

Financial assistance approvals: in principle clearance granted for one industrial hub while another revised proposal is under consideration. One project proposal for a new industrial area at Sitapur, District Morena has been accorded in-principle approval, while a revised proposal by M. P. Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam (Indore) Ltd. for a new industrial cluster at Ujjaini, District Dhar is under departmental consideration for in-principle approval; no further proposals have been received from the State government regarding these assistance measures.
