<h1>Government Revises Children Education Allowance: Rs. 18,000 Annually; Higher Rates for Disabled Children Effective January 2014.</h1> The Department of Personnel and Training announced that the annual ceiling for reimbursement of Children Education Allowance (CEA) is Rs. 18,000 per child, with a hostel subsidy of Rs. 4,500 per month. For disabled children of government employees, the CEA ceiling is Rs. 36,000 annually, and the hostel subsidy is Rs. 9,000 monthly. These revisions are effective from January 1, 2014. The reimbursement applies to children studying in institutions recognized by the Central or State Government or other relevant authorities.
