The project aims to restore and improve housing and public services in Odisha's cyclone-affected areas, benefiting approximately 150,000 people, including 50% women, and 30,000 slum residents in Berhampur. It also seeks to enhance disaster response capacity for the entire state of Odisha, which has a population of 42 million. The project includes components such as resilient housing reconstruction, urban infrastructure development, disaster risk management capacity building, and implementation support, and will be executed over five years by the Government of Odisha.
