<h1>India Launches Rs. 100 Crore Tech Fund to Boost Defense R&D for Public, Private Sectors and SMEs &D.</h1> An initial allocation of Rs. 100 crore has been made to establish a technology development fund aimed at supporting research and development in defense systems. This fund will provide resources to public and private sector companies, including small and medium enterprises (SMEs), as well as academic and scientific institutions, to enhance technological capabilities in the country. The Union Finance Minister announced this initiative during the General Budget presentation in Lok Sabha, noting that a similar fund was announced in 2011 but no further action was taken until now.
