The government aims to enhance rural employment through MGNREGA, focusing on productive, agriculture-linked work. The National Rural Livelihood Mission offers women SHGs bank loans at reduced interest rates, expanding to more districts. A Start-Up Village Entrepreneurship Programme is proposed with Rs. 100 crore funding. Additionally, the Neeranchal programme will support watershed development with Rs. 2,142 crore, and Rs. 3,600 crore is allocated for safe drinking water in arsenic-affected areas over three years.
