Fifteen Model Rural Health Research Centres will be established to address rural health issues. Initiatives include setting up two National Institutes of Ageing and a national dental research institute. Six new AIIMS are operational, with plans for four more in various states. A budget of Rs. 500 crores is allocated for these developments. Additionally, 58 government medical colleges are approved, with 12 more proposed, and dental facilities will be expanded. The government will also enhance state drug and food regulatory systems by creating new laboratories.
