(SPMCIL) reported a 9%-11% increase in the production of bank notes, coins, and security paper, and a 20% increase in security inks in the first ten months of the fiscal year 2014-15 compared to the previous year. The company produced 6550 million pieces of bank notes and 6143 million pieces of coins, achieving respective increases of 9.78% and 11.06%. Security paper production rose by 9.05% to 2675 metric tons, while security ink production reached a record 496 metric tons. SPMCIL aims to enhance production efficiency and counteract counterfeit currency threats.
