        <h1>MPLADS Funds: Rs. 6,758.54 Crore Spent, Rs. 2,146.34 Crore Unspent as of 2014; Third-Party Monitoring Since 2007.</h1> The Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) has been subject to third-party monitoring since 2007-08, with NABARD Consultancy Services overseeing 208 districts from 2007-08 to 2010-11, and the Agricultural Finance Corporation monitoring 100 districts in 2012-13. The Comptroller and Auditor General conducted a performance audit in 128 districts in 2010-11. MPLADS funds are released continuously based on eligibility, with non-lapsable funds carried over annually. As of February 2014, Rs. 8,904.88 crore was available, with Rs. 6,758.54 crore spent and a balance of Rs. 2,146.34 crore remaining unspent.
