<h1>Aluminium and Alumina Import-Export Trends (2010-2013): Rising Imports, Fluctuating Exports; NALCO Advised on Tender Processes.</h1> The import and export data for aluminium and alumina from 2010 to 2013 shows a general increase in imports and fluctuating exports. Aluminium imports rose from 698,984 tonnes in 2010-11 to 1,048,129 tonnes in 2012-13, while exports increased from 271,959 tonnes to 307,589 tonnes during the same period. Alumina imports significantly increased from 288,535 tonnes to 1,123,580 tonnes, whereas exports decreased from 2,745,230 tonnes to 1,029,982 tonnes. The government does not regulate the tender processes between Special Economic Zones and Domestic Tariff Areas, advising NALCO to act in its best commercial interest.
