The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs.61.9348 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs.84.2360 on October 3, 2013. The corresponding rates for the previous day (October 1, 2013) were Rs.62.3555 and Rs.84.5365 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Reference Rate publication for foreign exchange: derived GBP and JPY rates and SDR Rupee linkage established. The Reserve Bank of India published Reference Rate quotations for the US dollar and the Euro and, using the US dollar Reference Rate with cross currency middle rates, provided derived exchange rates for the British pound and Japanese yen; the notice further states that the SDR Rupee rate will be based on the published Reference Rate.
