The RBI is investigating whether these companies are conducting NBFC activities without the necessary registration as required under Section 45IA of the RBI Act, 1934. As a one-time measure, the RBI will examine the financials of these companies to determine if they should be registered. This was disclosed by a government official in response to a parliamentary question.
