The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has started organizing the Investor Awareness Programmes in the rural areas of the country also. For this the Ministry has engaged the services of CSC e-Governance Services India Limited. In recent months the Ministry has conducted many such programmes in collaboration with this agency in rural areas of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Punjab.
During the last Financial Year a total of 1,986 Investor Awareness Programmes were organized by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs in various parts of the country through its 3 Professional Institutes: Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. For this an amount of Rs. 5 crore has been earmarked in the budget of the Ministry.
