of <h1>CBEC Circular No. 11/2007: DEPB Verification Process Simplified at EDI Ports; Old Method Remains for Non-EDI Ports.</h1> CBEC issued Circular No. 11/2007 Cus on 13-02-2007, allowing the dispensing of DEPB verification at EDI ports due to electronic transmission of shipping bills and DEPBs. The implementation date will be set by the Commissioner of Customs in consultation with the Directorate General of Systems. This change eliminates the old verification process under Circular No. 14/99 Cus dated 15-03-1999 for EDI ports. However, non-EDI ports will continue using the existing verification procedure as per the previous circular.
