The government has directed that imports of aerospace-grade hydrogen peroxide for non-commercial research and development are exempt from the Hydrogen Peroxide (Quality Control) Order, 2022 (which mandated BIS standard IS 2080:2021), because the national standard lacks specifications for aerospace-grade material; the exemption follows an industry representation and BIS consultation and requires customs formations to be instructed to implement the exemption and report any difficulties to the Board.
