Customs August 23, 2024 Circulars
Automated process launched to publish exchange rates for customs valuation. Exchange rates received from State Bank of India adjusted to nearest five paise, integrated with Indian Customs EDI System. Published on ICEGATE website at 6 PM, effective from midnight next day. Rates accessible online for public viewing and future reference. Contingency plan with nodal officers to monitor and intervene manually if required. Existing system of notifying rates through notification dispensed with. User manual on Exchange Rate Automation Module provided. Clarifications can be sought from designated officials.
