sachin kumar

Hi everybody

Thanks & Regards

Sachin

Central excise procedure: consult CBEC Manual and study initial chapters on registration, assessment, invoicing and CENVAT. The primary guidance is to consult the CBEC Central Excise Manual and, for beginners, study the first six chapters covering registration; assessment, classification and valuation (including provisional assessment and duty payment); the invoice system; CENVAT credit; and records and returns to acquire core excise compliance knowledge. I advise you to read the CBEC's Central Excise Manual, which contains 19 chapters.

However, for beginniners,  it is advised to read and understand the following first 6 chapters on Central Excise :-

CBEC Manual

Ch. No.

Topic

INTRODUCTION AND AN OVERVIEW OF CENTRAL EXCISE

REGISTRATION

ASSESSMENT, CLASSIFICATION, VALUATION, PROVISIONAL ASSESSMENT, MANNER OF DUTY PAYMENT, ACCOUNT CURRENT, SCRUTINY

INVOICE SYSTEM

CENVAT CREDIT

RECORDS AND RETURNS

The CBEC Manual can be read on various indirect tax sites, including TAXMANAGEMENTINDIA website.
