Excise audit extension: request postponement in writing and escalate to audit supervising officer if refused. Submit a formal written extension request to the Audit Party for postponement of the EA-2000 audit, stating reasons and proposing alternate dates; if the audit officer refuses to accept the request, escalate the matter to the Audit Assistant Commissioner or equivalent supervising officer. In such case, we suggest you to submit a request letter to the Audit Party for extention of the Audit programme at you convinient date stating the reason to postpone the audit schedule.

If still the officer is not ready to listen, then may please approach to the Audit AC.

In our view, filing the request letter for exention is the only option.
