Online platforms tax questions doubt

Sundaraiah kollipara

sir,

Any taxation (gst and it) questions asked to online platforms like chatgpt or gemini used after received answers correct or not correct.

Online AI tax advice lacks legal authority, must be verified with law and experts before relying on it A forum user asked whether taxation advice (GST and income tax) obtained from online AI platforms can be relied upon as correct. The respondent explained that, just as even apex court judgments can be fallible, AI-generated answers are also inherently fallible and lack independent legal authority. While such tools may provide quick and useful guidance, their output does not have binding legal force and cannot substitute for professional advice. Users are advised to verify AI responses against relevant statutes, rules, and, where necessary, consult qualified tax or legal experts before acting on such information. (AI Summary)

It is siad by the eminent advocates that, even Supreme Court judgements are not infallible. Likewise the answers sought on AI platforms. Although the instant assistance of such tools is quite appreciable, but it has no legal strength. Therefore it is always safer to double check with statutes or/and with experts.
