Payment of GST under RCM for Manufacturing Unit

PRAVIN TALEGAONKAR

Dear Sir,

We are chemical manufacturing company located in Maharashtra. We have Labour contractor and consultants registered and unregistered under GST.

My question is whether, we need to make payment of GST Under RCM on supplies received from Non Registered dealer.

U/s 9(3) Labour contractor are not included in this list.

Regards

Pravin Talegaonkar

Chemical company not required to pay GST under Reverse Charge for labor contractor services per Section 9(3) clarification. A chemical manufacturing company in Maharashtra inquired about the necessity of paying GST under the Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) for services received from non-registered dealers, specifically labor contractors. Respondents clarified that manpower supply is not covered under section 9(3) RCM, and the requirement to pay GST on supplies from non-registered dealers has been discontinued. Only specified services and goods listed in RCM notifications are taxable. Labor contractor services are not included in the RCM list, indicating no GST is payable by the recipient in this case.
