Eligibility of GST Input Credit on Repairs: Allowed for Commercial Vehicles, Not for Non-Commercial Cars A trading concern inquired about the eligibility of claiming GST input credit for repairs and maintenance expenses, including paint purchases and vehicle repairs for both commercial trucks and non-commercial cars. Two respondents clarified that input tax credit (ITC) is permissible if these expenses are not capitalized in the financial records. ITC is allowed for commercial vehicle repairs but not for non-commercial cars. (AI Summary)
