GST Registration for online Grocery Store

GST registration requirement applies once taxable turnover crosses threshold; marketplace operators may face mandatory registration and TCS obligations.
GST registration is required when a supplier's aggregate turnover exceeds the applicable threshold and must be obtained within thirty days of liability; ordinary online sellers follow normal return filing. If the website collects consideration for third party sellers, the platform may need to collect TCS on net taxable supplies, remit it via the prescribed return within the specified period, and is mandatorily required to register irrespective of turnover. (AI Summary)

Hello!

I want to know whether GST registration is required to start a retail online grocery store to sell fruits, vegetables, household needs, body care needs etc to serve the requirements of a small area, say a town. It will operate within 30 km range, within a district, within a state. In NE India, where the threshold limit is 20 Lakh. Can you please explain how it will work, which law is applicable. What is TCS ? Whether it is applicable to it ? Very confused ? Please help me out.

Thanks.
