E invoicing applicability limited to large taxpayers; threshold-based invoice requirement applies for supplies to registered persons under central rules.
E invoicing from the stated commencement date applies only to registered persons whose aggregate turnover exceeds the prescribed threshold and who supply goods or services to registered persons; suppliers below that turnover threshold are not subject to the e invoicing obligation, and reports of a possible postponement of implementation have circulated. Sir,

As per Notification No. 70/2019 – Central Tax dated 13-12-2019 with effect from 01-04-2020, the registered person, whose aggregate turnover in a financial year exceeds ₹ 100 crore rupees, as a class of registered person who shall prepare invoice in terms of rule 48(4) of the said rules in respect of supply of goods or services or both to a registered person.

Therefore in respect of you e-invoicing is not applicable from 01.04.2020. However there are some news items saying that implementation e-invoicing is likely to be postponed.
