Availment of credit paid under RCM and FCM

Nexdigm IDT

I paid sponership fee to Governement organisation. They have charged GST on the invoice and I paid the same. Following are my queries:

1. Will I have to pay GST under RCM and avail credit of the same

2. Would I get credit of taxes paid to organistation

GST on Sponsorship Fees: No Double Payment Needed, ITC Available for Paid GST Under Reverse Charge Mechanism A user inquired about GST implications on a sponsorship fee paid to a government organization, specifically whether they need to pay GST under the reverse charge mechanism (RCM) and if they can avail credit for taxes paid. Respondents clarified that sponsorship services fall under RCM when provided to a body corporate or partnership firm. However, since GST was already charged on the invoice by the service provider, the user is not required to pay GST again. Input Tax Credit (ITC) can be claimed for the GST paid. (AI Summary)
