Export scheme MEIS to RODEP

Pandiyan Perumal

Dear Experts,

As aware of everyone, the Indian government announced that the existing export benefit scheme MEIS will be withdrawn and New Scheme RODTEP will be introduced with some additional benefits. Hence we have received a mail from EEPC(Engineering Export Promotion Council) with the requirement of submitting the Form R1, R2 & R3.

And we are already availing existing MEIS benefit, also we will avail RODTEP based on the rule comes to effect. Our Export Product comes under Chapter 84.

Hence please advise me who all need to submit this form to DGFT through EEPC, and for which HSN codes.

Understanding MEIS to RODTEP Transition: Who Submits Forms R1, R2, and R3 for Chapter 84 Products? An individual inquired about the transition from the MEIS to the RODTEP export benefit scheme in India, mentioning a requirement to submit Forms R1, R2, and R3 to the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC). The query focused on which parties need to submit these forms to the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) and for which Harmonized System (HSN) codes, specifically concerning products under Chapter 84. A response advised submitting the forms to EEPC and noted that MEIS had been temporarily extended until December 31, 2021. (AI Summary)
