ISDs Can't Distribute ITC for Goods, Only Services; Consider Direct Delivery to Branches or Head Office Registration An individual inquired about the ability of an Input Service Distributor (ISD) to distribute credit for goods purchased for a head office. Two experts responded, confirming that ISDs cannot distribute Input Tax Credit (ITC) for goods, only for services. They suggested that if the head office is registered as a dealer and branches are declared as additional places of business within the same state, credit distribution might be possible. Alternatively, goods should be delivered directly to branches with invoices issued to those branches. (AI Summary)
