Farmer Laxman Exempt from GST Registration Due to Low Commission; ITR Filing with GST Details Questioned A user inquired about whether Laxman, a farmer who collects maize from other farmers and sells it to firms, should file an Income Tax Return (ITR) under current GST rules. Laxman receives a commission of 1,000 per 100,000, totaling approximately 7,000. The response clarified that since Laxman's commission is below the GST registration threshold, he is exempt from GST, questioning the relevance of filing an ITR with GST details. (AI Summary)
