Income tax on remittance: remittances from earnings while resident abroad in a tax-free jurisdiction are not treated as taxable on transfer. The contributor, an NRI who worked in a tax-free foreign jurisdiction and returned to India in June 2017, asked whether remittances from April-June 2017 are taxable in India.
