why a separate IGST on the total GST value?

subrat padhy

Dear All,

Thank you all for the helping hand to me all along.

Kindly give me some info. about my another query regarding GST....

We had organised one event here at Odisha, for which we hire an event partner.

And in the time of settlement today they are having a bill towards accommodation of guest with 5% IGST adding on the overall bill which includes registration of delegates and others with a GST 18%.

My question is that is there any act regarding industrial GST for the service providers who are dealing as 3rd party partner?

Kindly suggest me regarding this.

Thank You and hoping for an positive reply.

Regards,

Subrat

Extra 5% IGST on Event Bill Questioned; 18% GST Should Cover Services, Say Responses A user inquired about the applicability of an additional 5% IGST on a bill for an event organized in Odisha, which already included an 18% GST. The query was whether there is a legal basis for this additional charge by a third-party service provider. Responses indicated that GST is generally applicable on the supply of goods and services, and it was suggested that the event partner should not charge an extra 5% if 18% GST is already being applied for the same services.
