Composition levy

THYAGARAJAN KALYANASUNDARAM

Dear expert,

One of my client is paying tax under composition levy under earlier regime, based on which we have opted composition levy under new regime without getting confirmation from the client due to short of time. Whereas the client charging tax under regular scheme and collects the tax. Now we would like to withdraw the scheme from appointed day. But how to withdraw, there is no provision given in portal. Can anyone explain in this regards how to sort out.

Thanks in advance.

Client Faces GST Portal Issues While Withdrawing from Composition Levy; Advised to File CMP-04 Under Rule 6(3) CGST Rules A client initially opted for the composition levy under the new Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime without confirmation, while mistakenly charging tax under the regular scheme. The client now seeks to withdraw from the composition scheme but faces issues with the online portal. One expert suggests retrying the portal or contacting the GST helpdesk. Another advises filing form CMP-04 under Rule 6(3) of the CGST Rules, 2017, to withdraw, warning that failure to do so may result in the department issuing a notice in form CMP-05. (AI Summary)
