how file Delay in Submission in Excise return and whether my product is register under ER-8 but can it be register under ER- 5 or ER- 7

Dear Sir,

We are manufacturer of Transformer from 16 KVA up to 500 KVA. We were not aware of the fact that we have to file the return on Quarterly basis and we thought it has to be filed only on receipt of the payment. Please also let us know ho to get the credit under it and can our return be filed yearly

You can file ER-3 return now with late fee of ₹ 100/- per day and maximum penalty ₹ 20,000/- as per Rule 12(6) of Central Excise Rules, 2002. Also go through Issue ID 4105 and 4106 on this forum of TMI.

so better to contact dept for proper n right clarifcation to avoid further consequences
