Billing under GST

CASeetharaman KC

Please clarify how traders would be billing from 1-7-2017. What would be the CGST and SGST ?? Is it 50% each? As of now hardly any small traders are prepared for changing their billing system from 1st July 2017

GST allocation: intra-state supplies split equally between central and state levies; inter-state attracts integrated levy. From the appointed date suppliers must change bills: for intra state supplies charge the applicable GST rate split equally as CGST and SGST on the invoice; for inter state supplies charge the full applicable rate as IGST, with invoice presentation reflecting the separate tax heads accordingly. From appointed date i.e. 1 July,2017; Every Supplier has require to change its Bill system; he has to charge for Intra State supply 50% as CGST & 50% as SGST of appliacable rate of GST. and full rate of GST has requre to charge in Inter state supply. Example: if GST Rate is 18% than 9% as CGST * 9% as SGST in intra State Supply and 18% IGST in Inter state Supply.
