GTA ser tax and Manpower supply ser tax under GST

venkat eswaran

Dear All,

We are service receiver of Transport of goods by road (GTA) and Manpower supply service and paying ser tax on behalf of provider.

Now in GST how we can pay this? Is separate challan is available since we mfg industry paying GST also.

What is rate of tax for GTA and Manpower supply service?

We used to avail 70% rebate on bill value for GTA whether this will continue and we have to pay full GST?

Kindly share your views on this

Thanks in advance

Venkat

GST Rules: 5% Tax on GTA via Reverse Charge, 18% on Manpower Supply with ITC; Unregistered Labor Must Register A service receiver in the manufacturing industry inquired about paying Goods and Services Tax (GST) for Goods Transport Agency (GTA) and manpower supply services. They previously availed a 70% rebate on GTA under service tax. Responses clarified that under GST, GTA is taxed at 5% under the reverse charge mechanism with no input tax credit (ITC), while manpower supply is taxed at 18% with ITC, not under reverse charge. Concerns were raised about credit availability and the requirement for unregistered labor contractors to register under GST. If services are received from unregistered dealers, the recipient must pay tax under reverse charge. (AI Summary)
