Central Excise_Urgent_Export

Prem Bajaj

Dear Experts,

Please resolve my query

We have cleared Consignment to our Merchant Export after following ARE 1 Copies using our Running bond or LUT, But Merchant exporter forgot to submit are1 copies to the custom deptt.

Now he failed to submit export proof to us And we bothered because our LUT or bond has been used.

Please suggest what should we do..

Thanks in advance.

Exporter Fails to Submit ARE-1 Copies; Experts Suggest Alternatives for Proof of Export Under LUT or Bond A merchant exporter failed to submit ARE-1 copies to customs, causing concern for a company that used its bond or LUT for export clearance. Experts advised that other documents, such as air freight bills and shipping bills, can serve as export proof. They suggested approaching the jurisdictional Assistant Commissioner (AC) or Deputy Commissioner (DC) to accept these documents. If not accepted, the consignment might be considered cleared for home consumption. The discussion highlighted the government's supportive stance on exports, emphasizing leniency and transparency in handling such issues to encourage foreign currency inflow. (AI Summary)
