Manufacturer Seeks Clarification on 2% Concessional Tax Rate Eligibility Under CST Act Using Form C A manufacturer of acids and chemicals sought clarification on whether their products qualify for a concessional tax rate of 2% under the Central Sales Tax (CST) Act, using Form C. A tax consultant responded, explaining that eligibility depends on the customer's registration under the CST Act and the product's use in manufacturing or reselling. The consultant referred to specific sections and rules of the CST Act and Rules for further guidance. The manufacturer expressed gratitude and requested references to relevant notifications or sections for additional clarity. (AI Summary)

Dear Ram,

If your customs is registered under CST Act, 1956 and this solution is mentioned in his registration certificate and it is being used for manufacturing, reselling etc. then it can be sold @ cst 2% against Form C, otherwise not.
