Company Can Use Third-Party Exports for EPCG Obligation if Listed as 'Supporting Manufacturer' on Shipping Bill A company inquired about fulfilling its Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) export obligation through third-party exports. Respondents confirmed that this is permissible under the Handbook of Procedures, provided the company's name is listed as the 'supporting manufacturer' on the shipping bill. Additionally, the company's license number should be included on the ARE-1 document to ensure compliance. The discussion emphasized the importance of proper documentation to meet the export obligations legally. (AI Summary)

Dear Sir,

As per my view, export obligation can be fulfilled through third party export as per para 5.7.1 of Handbook of Procedures-Vol.-I.

chetan rachhadiya on Jan 6, 2015

yes, third party export is admissible.but you have to intimate the exporter to mention your company name in shipping bill as "supporting manufacturer"for the product you supply them.

without this you are not eligible to discharge export obligation.
