Can Cenvat credit for excise duty on warehouse construction be used against service tax? File revised return in 90 days. A user inquired about utilizing Cenvat credit of excise duty paid on products used for constructing a warehouse against their service tax liability. They sought clarification on revising their tax return for the period from April to September, as they had not claimed the credit and were aware of a six-month limitation introduced in Budget 2014. The response indicated that the credit could be used for service tax payments and advised that a revised return must be filed within 90 days from the original filing date, provided this period had not expired.
