INHOUSE STUFFING OF CONTAINER

DEEPAK SHARMA

PLEASE ADVICE ME HOW CAN I GET PERMISSION FROM CUSTOMS TO GET CONTAINER IN HOUSE PREMISES, PLEASE ALSO GUIDE THE REQUIREMENT OF PAPER

THANKS

In-house stuffing of containers requires written annual permission after verification; self-sealing and ICD/CFS use are primary alternatives. In-house stuffing is restricted: prior blanket permissions are withdrawn, manufacturers may opt to self-seal containers, and others must use ICDs/CFSs for stuffing. Exceptional requests for in-house stuffing require submission to the Range Superintendent, verification of location, commodity and exporter genuineness, and written annual permission by the Joint/Additional Commissioner, subject to withdrawal if adverse information is found. For the purpose of Export, the exported goods can be Sealed and Stuffed either from any factory premises/warehouse by the Central Excise officers or at the Place of Export by the Customs Officers.

You may contact any local CHA  agent on the issue.
