Audits.</h1> The circular issued by the Ministry of Finance addresses restrictions on visits by audit parties to small-scale units. It clarifies that previous restrictions on visits by inspectors and superintendents, as directed by the Assistant Collector, apply only to internal audit parties and not to CERA audit parties. The visits by A.G. Audit parties are mandated by law under Rule 173-G of the Central Excise Rules, 1944.
