These exemptions, as per Notification 29/88-C.E., dated 1-3-1988, are based on the Drug (Price Control) Order, 1987. Some formations have been incorrectly requiring that these formulations be sold to the National Health Programme or demanding declarations of such use to grant exemptions. The circular clarifies that such conditions are not stipulated in the notification and that denying exemptions on these grounds is unjustified.
