of <h1>Jewellers' Central Excise Duty Registration Deadline Extended to July 1; Pay March-June Duty Together in June.</h1> The circular addresses the imposition of Central Excise duty on jewellery, announcing the extension of the deadline for jewellers to obtain Central Excise Registration to July 1, 2016. Although the duty liability starts from March 1, 2016, jewellers can pay the excise duty for March, April, and May 2016 together with the June 2016 payment. Trade associations, chambers of commerce, and RAC members are urged to inform their constituents of these changes.
