of <h1>India Launches Task Force on Innovation to Boost Global Innovation Index Ranking and Enhance National Ecosystem.</h1> The Government of India has established a Task Force on Innovation to enhance the country's innovation ecosystem and improve its ranking in the Global Innovation Index (GII). The Task Force, comprising industry leaders and academic representatives, will assess India's current innovation status, identify challenges, and suggest measures for improvement. Public suggestions will be solicited through crowdsourcing. The Task Force will evaluate contributions from Indian universities and recommend strategies to foster innovation. Members will receive travel allowances for meetings, and logistical support will be provided by the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion. A report is due within two months of formation.
