of <h1>Ahmedabad Customs Allows Manual Shipping Bills Noting u/s 74 Due to ICES System Limitations.</h1> The notice addresses the manual processing of shipping bills under Section 74 of the Customs Act, 1962, within the Ahmedabad Customs jurisdiction. Due to the absence of an electronic facility in the ICES System, shipping bills for re-export must be filed manually. To ease this process, the decision was made to allow automatic manual noting of such shipping bills by designated officers without requiring prior approval from the Commissioner. Other categories of shipping bills needing manual filing will still require specific Commissioner approval. This measure is temporary until the ICES system is updated.
