Importers with pending SVB renewals must submit a one-time declaration by May 31, 2016, using specified formats. SVBs will scrutinize these declarations and, if no changes are noted, renewals will be dispensed with, and provisional assessments finalized. If changes are declared, further inquiries will be initiated, following procedures in Circular 5/2016. Pending investigations must be reviewed, and Extra Duty Deposits discontinued if necessary information is provided. An action plan is required to reduce pending cases by 10% monthly, aiming for completion by October 31, 2016.
