This advisory arises from instances in Northern and Eastern Regions where Registrars allowed name changes based on provisions in the 'other objects' of a company's memorandum of association, despite ongoing petitions to shift these to the main objects. Such actions could be seen as prejudging the matter, and therefore, Registrars should refrain from approving name changes during the pendency of these petitions.
