Transit of unaccompanied baggage requires passenger-arranged transport, customs sealing, and carrier bond and security for clearance elsewhere.

Unaccompanied baggage declared for transshipment may be transported by air, rail or road from the customs station of arrival to another customs station selected by the passenger for clearance. The passenger or authorised agent must arrange its booking and transport. The baggage must be sealed at the arrival station in the presence of the passenger or authorised representative. The authorised carrier must execute bond and furnish security satisfactory to the relevant customs commissioner before transportation.
